No. To refinish a previously grouted area, begin by completely remove the old material using water or compressed air and leave a joint of at least 1.3 inches deep and .3 inches wide.
What are the best uses for the product?
Mainbrick™ Paving Joint Filler can be used for filling joints on patios, garden paths, walkways, driveways, and many more. Works especially well with flagstone patios and walkways.
Do I need dry conditions to apply the joint filler?
No, in fact it is necessary to pre wet the surface before beginning the installation.
Do I use this product just like polymer sand or cement?
No, polymer sand and cement require a dry surface.
What tools do I need to apply the joint filler?
A water hose and a broom are all that are necessary.
Does your product need to be mixed with something else in order to bind?
No Mainbrick™ Paving Joint Filler is pre mixed, vacuum sealed, and ready to use.
How long is the curing time?
Allow the grouted area to cure at 68°F, 65% humidity for 24 hours before walking on the surface and 72 hours before driving a vehicle on the surface. Curing time increases with lower temperatures.
What kind of weather conditions are recommended for application?
Mainbrick Paving Joint Filler can be applied at +32F and above. Light rain is not a problem.
Do I have to wear any protective gloves to handle the product?
No, Mainbrick™ Paving Joint Filler will wash off with mild soap and water.
Does your product prevent weed growth in the joints like polymer sand?
